The ABC's to Living the Abundant Life

Digging Deep:
Out of all the things I desire in this life, it seems to all comes down to my passion for freedom and happiness. I think all of us desire these whether we realize it or not. To be free to choose how we will live our lives. To experience joy in the journey as we overcome our fears and allow Love for the Lord, Love for ourselves, and Love for others to direct us out of the darkness and into the light.

At the beginning of this year, I read an article in the January 2012 Liahonna by President Thomas S. Monson. He spoke of the importance of "Living the Abundant Life". I had forgotten about this article, but now that I remember it, it is truly amazing to see the truthfulness of his words.

A = Have a Positive Attitude
B = Believe in Yourself
C = Face Challenges with Courage

"Courage becomes a worthwhile and meaningful virtue when it is regarded not so much as a willingness to die manfully but as a determination to live decently." -Pres. Thomas S. Monson

Now that 2012 is halfway over, I think it is important to pull out and review new year resolutions. See what you have accomplished and what you still need to work on. Make new goals. Dream, and then fight to make that dream become a reality. Never give up and endure well until the end. Finish stronger than how you started in all aspects of your life.

Like my dad would always say, PACE yourself in life:
Positive
Attitude
Changes
Everything

Believe in yourself and order yourself to be better because honestly, the only thing that holds you back from achieving your dreams is you. Be radiant and amplify the Light of Christ that lives within you.

Making Each Day an Adventure of Love, Life and Laughter

Life's what you make it so make it rock! Yeah, totally just quoted Hannah Montana. Haha My new obsession is having fun with life! No time, no money, no worries:) This pretty much sums up my life as a college student. But life is way too short to sit around freaking out about tomorrow and dwelling about what went down yesterday. The present is all you really have immediate control over so focus on making it an adventure full of love, living life, and laughing one day at a time! Basically, I roll on inspirational quotes so here's the one for this month:

"Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, but with great and strong purpose in your heart." - President Gordon B. Hinckley

Challenge for the month: Do at least one thing that scares you everyday (that doesn't compromise the safety of others, your life or your standards:)). This can be anything from getting out of your social comfort zone to working on creating a masterpiece of self expression and fostering your talents. Don't be afraid to love people and share your light! Because when you do, your courage invites others to share their light and love too and BAM! world peace will be accomplished;)

Life is way to short to be serious all the time. Seriously, a friend told me that worrying is a stupid unproductive waste of time because you don't accomplish anything other than probably shortening your life span. Haha man, she's crazy, but for sure has a good point.

"Invoke your sense of humor, laughters power is immense!" When you feel like there's a raincloud you just can't shake off, that's a humongo sign that you aren't amplifying the light within you. Step back, admit you are being ridiculous and find something to laugh about. SMILE:D Happiness and confidence=Fake it til you Make it;) Remember to count your blessing and be crazy confident in your amazing abilities that the Lord has blessed you with!!!!!

AMPLIFY YOU SUNSHINE and the rainclouds will part revealing the beautiful rainbow of your life that has been there all along. :):) Haha alright, that's enough of the cheesy yoda-wannabe:)
Live Long and Prosper my fellowman kind! Haha :)
